4. Motor oil is the lifeblood of your car: Regularly changing a vehicle's oil with a quality lubricant can provide the essential protection against engine friction. And for vehicles with more than 75,000 miles, there are motor oils, such as Quaker State® Higher Mileage Engine(TM) motor oil, which is specifically formulated to help restore engine response, prevent engine leaks, and protect worn engine parts.

To show the effects of using low quality fuel Shell recently conducted a 5,000-mile dual-fuel engine test By using a special test vehicle, in which one half of the engine ran on Shell gasoline and the other half ran on low-quality discount gasoline, the results showed the side of the engine that used low-quality discount gasoline had eight times more gunk (carbon deposit build-up on the intake valves) than the side using Shell gasoline.
