It's not only how much you work, it is how you work that can get you down. It may not be the actual state of your job, but your state of mind about your job that exhausts you. Those are some of the thoughts about overwork that have been gained through a recent study by the Families and Work Institute, a nonprofit research center based in New York City.
And people are not helpless in the face of overwork, according to Erin Brownfield, communications director for the institute. "Employees can take the initiative" in getting relief by bringing problems to the attention of their employer and in changing the way they do their work, she said.See the full content of this document
