What Creative People Have in Common

Summary


According to many behavioral psychologists, creative people share a number of common characteristics - including the fact that they aren't always logical, aren't afraid to look foolish or even incredulous, and don't believe there's only one answer to a problem. People in this category are usually risk-takers, whose modus-operandi at work is expressed metaphorically as "damn the torpedoes.. .full speed ahead." The following list expresses the above in more detail.

1. Creative people sometimes are thought of as "explorers" and "massagers." They take old facts, proposals, programs and even ideas, retool and retrofit them, or rearrange and combine them in new ways. Highly creative people are very motivated and intense in exploring all the possibilities of a situation. They do their due diligence, their research - and they spend a lot of time studying their results to stimulate creativity.
