Summary
When the occasion arose, young Wes liked to wear his mom's black pumps, but there were no outward incidents or flashing signs that there was even a gender identity question. When there were big family gatherings, he liked to sit with the women, and listen to their conversations about sewing and cooking rather than hang out with the guys around the TV and watch sports. There were a number of parts in that book, quite a few parts, where I could insert my name anywhere in there and it's like I'm reading my story.
