Dane County is locked in a stare down with a Cross Plains landowner over the roughly $23,000-per-acre asking price for property that would be used for the Ice Age Trail.
"I know there are a lot of people that had high hopes we would go through with this," said Dane County Supervisor Tom Stoebig.
