Summary


Which brings us to the debut production of Pandora's Box Theater - its rotating-rep presentation of Shakespeare's Titus Andronicus and Molière's Amphitryon - and Pittsburgh Irish and Classical Theatre's production of Samuel Beckett's Endgame.

Beckett's dead, but his estate has been so rigorous in nixing wayward productions that, in 2000, the New York Fringe Festival featured a short, insider-joke pky entitled: The Complete Lost Works of Samuel Beckett as Found in an Envelope (partially burned) in a Dustbin in Paris Labeled "Never to be performed. Never. Ever. EVER! Or I'll Sue! I'LL SUE FROM THE GRAVE!!!"

Let me say up front that Bradecki hasn't changed any of Beckett's words. But he has changed the setting - which, ultimately, leads him away from Beckett's intent.
