NORFOLK - Thelma Ashbee Talley, 85, was called home to heaven Dec. 26, 2010. She was born on Chincoteague Island in the home of her grandparents and raised in Norfolk. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome L. Talley Jr.; parents, Charles and Nellie Ashbee; brothers, Samuel and Robert Ashbee; and sister, Nellie Jarvis.
Thelma retired from Virginia DMV and was a member of the Colonial Heights Church of Christ. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Susan Talley and Martha Kitchen (Steve); son, Jerry Talley (Diane); grandchildren, Nathan Kitchen (April) and Jaclyn Talley; and great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Benjamin, and Jesse; beloved sister, Mary Pittman; sister- in-law, Anna Ashbee; and several nieces and nephews.See the full content of this document
