[Chris Daggett] also worked at J.M. Sorge Inc. of Somerville, where he consulted on remediating brownfields. Joseph Sorge, its president, said Daggett is "very good at understanding costs of actions" and how things have to be paid for. Sorge said business would have an advocate in Daggett.

Task force member Joseph F. Riggs, group president of K. Hovnanian Homes, credited Daggett with forging consensus among the 24-member group for changes to DEP processes. Daggett said he'll look at how to reduce some huge government costs: aid to municipalities and schools, and state employee health care and retirement benefits.
