PICPA succeeded in providing programs and services that further the well-being of members and uphold the public interests. The fact that PICPA reached more than 24,000 continuing education course registrants is a testament that their professional education programs provide what their members want. It has been a busy year in Harrisburg, with proposals to reduce property tax and to expand the sales tax base, including the taxing of accounting and other professional services. PICPA members got involved by providing testimony, speaking to reporters, and sending letters to editors and legislators.
