Chile's free trade agreement with the US

Chile has concluded a free trade agreement with the US. The commercial treaty allows Chile to export its minerals and agricultural products to the US and import American mining machinery and telecommunications equipment. This agreement is viewed as a step to an eventual free trade zone in the area.
