The Democratic Black Caucus will hold its annual state convention in Miami, May 2022. Local activities planned by the BDBC are the kick off of the 'Cops and Kids' barbeque and The Broward Legal Development Fund (BLDF). [Andrew Lewis] wants Broward County to elect its first Black judge.
"How many people are over 18, citizens and without felonies? If we've only registered 25 percent of the eligible then all we need to do is register more. But if we have registered 75 percent, that means we're doing all that we can and we'll have to build coalitions with other groups in order for us to come from a position of strength."I'm talking about the ability of a single person to say 'I can make a change'. If enough people think they can make a change, that's good. During the election cycle, that is the biggest transfer of power imaginable. We take the lives and efforts of the Black community and transfer that power to one person. This is war. The twin towers of economics and education have been attacked by terrorists. We have to create an agenda for the future or we will be eaten alive. King said there has to be a spiritual foundation in what we do.
