The author describes a recent bad experience involving online auctions. What I've always liked best about the Internet, in general, are the people who use it. The breadth and depth of expertise is staggering, and usually you don't have to search very hard to find what you need. The willingness of people to share their knowledge and readily offer assistance never fails to amaze and delight me. And so - in spite of the overcommercialization, spam, pop-up ads, spyware, identity theft, phishing, and lunatic rants - the Net is still awesome. Personally, I have never had a single bad experience online. Until recently. In October, I ventured into eBay Motors. I had a motorcycle to sell.
