Chanting "They fear us because we are not afraid," Hondurans of ail walks of life, colors, shapes, and sizes, including workers, students, housewives, teachers, feminists, lesbians, gays, transgendered people, Garifuna, Lencas, Tolupanes, campesinos, came together in the summer of 2009 to oppose the coup d'état.1 They established the National Front Against the Coup d'État in Honduras-renamed the National Front of Popular Resistance (FNRP) after the November 29 elections-a large, broad-based coalition with a presence throughout the country's regions.
