Summary

RESIST began in 1967 in support of draft resistance and in opposition to the Vietnam War. RESIST provides small but timely grants and loans to hundreds of organizations (in the words of their Board Chair Kay Mathew) "too small or too local - or too radical - for mainstream foundations" that are engaged in grassroots organizing and education for social change. For more information, contact RESIST, Inc., 259 Elm St., Somerville, MA 02144, 617-623-5110, resistinc.org.
