Carlson talks about the resolution during the Asian Journalists Forums, which suggests that the nations involved in the Six Party Talks in North Korea needed to negotiate in good faith. Co-chairman of Society of Professional Journalists' (SPJ) International Journalism Committee, after reading the first draft, says that the resolution, proposed by the Journalists Association of Korea, was not about journalism but about politics. The SPJ and the representatives of 23 other countries were asked to sign this resolution, but they would not--could not--put SPJ's name to such a political statement.
