Source water assessment programs.

Summary


The State Source Water Assessment and Protection Programs Guidance requires states to develop their own Source Water Assessment Programs and submit these to the EPA for approval by Feb 1999. Source water assessments will involve activities such as determining areas that are origins of drinking water supply and evaluating potential contaminant sources. States are also required to solicit the public's participation in their programs.
