Information Literacy Skills Objectives: AASL Standards for the 21st-century Learner: 1.1.3 Develop and refine a range of questions to frame the search for new understanding. 1.1.4 Find, evaluate, and select appropriate sources to answer questions. The library media specialist and classroom teacher collaborate to plan this unit on how birthdays are celebrated around the world. The library media specialist highlights facts from Birthday Information (see page 18), and leads a brainstorming session to decide what resources will be used to answer questions.
