Summary
Members of Girl Scout Troop 5292 had fun learning about Grossology: The (Impolite) Science of the Human Body, at the Virginia Air & Space Center in Hampton on Jan. 29. The human body is capable of all sorts of smelly, oozy, crusty, disgusting things, and they explored them all! Scouts built a belch, took a spit test, dissected owl poop and made colored snot. They even made fake blood and then used it as cookie frosting. In addition to touring the aeronautical museum, the evening was spent playing the Operation game, identifying human odors, answering bio-trivia in the Grossology Guessing game, hurling balls into nostrils, walking inside a huge nose and touring interactive exhibits on bodily functions. These Suffolk scouts had a lot of laughs .
