"The Haitian community has always seen education as a key to their social and economic future," Edward Miller, executive director of the Smart Schools, said in a news release. "We want them to see The Smart Schools as a viable option for their children's education and future. We want to take the time to get to know them as they get to know us and develop a greater sense of trust and bond over time."
