A fire at the General Electric Aircraft Engines plant that shut down production Tuesday is under investigation.
The fire broke out in an area where backup batteries are stored and stopped production for the morning, Madisonville Fire Chief Thomas Williams said. GE's in-house firefighters initially controlled the fire and were assisted by three of Madisonville's four fire departments.See the full content of this document
