SHIRLEY RYAN has always lived larger than her five-foot-two frame would suggest. As the executive director of the NSBA (North Saskatoon Business Association), Ryan established a well-deserved reputation as an obstinate, feisty, scrapper who would lead her troops into battle on a moment's notice. Whether it was fighting the provincial government on the most available hours legislation or, more recently, backing it on the proposed Bill 80, Ryan has been there to speak on behalf of Saskatoon's business community.
