Shoestring sharps: the Pedersoli Model 1874 mounted with a Leatherwood6X Scope is second to none in terms of accuracy and performance.

I have a thing for Sharps Model 1874 rifles. (Have I said that before?) I'd rather shoot one than any other type of firearm on this planet. They are accurate, reliable and historical. They are also expensive. They have always been expensive. Back in their original era of the 1870s a standard Sharps Model 1874 cost about $38 with single trigger.

The double set trigger option was more popular even though it raised the price by four more bucks. That doesn't sound like much but consider in those days a skilled craftsman working for the Sharps Rifle Company earned $3.25 a day for a 10-hour day.

Here's another factor to consider.
