Summary

Davis - an inner city youth from Chicago's South Side - is the former 1,000-meter speed skating record holder. His teammate, Chad Hedrick, is the current record holder. When asked if he was happy for Davis for winning the gold, Hedrick's reply: "I am happy for Joey," speaking of Joey Cheek, another teammate who won the silver medal in the same event as Davis.
