Summary
The astute captain will guide and nurture positive interactions between department personnel in order to reduce negative expectations going in to achieve desirable results coming out. The result, of course, with negative self-fulfilling prophecies in the works from the captain, the sergeant, and the grievant is an abysmally failed interaction and lost opportunities for meaningful, productive interdepartmental relationships.
