With bright, mild weather on the horizon, spring cleaning, gardening and outdoor activities that involve dangerous chemicals quickly become favorite pastimes. Reducing the risk of poisoning means raising the awareness of how tragedies happen. Some 92 percent of all poison exposures occur in the home. Did you know that more than half of families asked reported chemicals left unlocked? At the same time, more than 80 percent of homes leave medicines unsecured.
