VIRGINIA BEACH - Robert F. "Bob" Hedrick, was a complex man who accomplished great things from humble beginnings. Throughout life, he remained with his feet on the ground and dedicated to love of his family and the values of being a great American, instilled in him as a Marine. Bob was 68 years old, born Sept. 11, 1940. The son of the late Robert R. Hedrick of High Point, N.C., and Lois Mumford Hedrick of Chincoteague, Va., Bob was born in Silver Springs, Md., but as a child moved to Newport News, Va., with his family.
Former CEO/owner of Sprinkle Masonry Inc., Bob helped build Tidewater into what it is today, "brick by brick." Bound to the quality of his company, Bob took pride in his work, visible throughout North Carolina, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Virginia, including MacArthur Center, his favorite, Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters addition, the renovation of Maury High School, Virginia Air and Space Museum, the Virginia Beach Recreation centers and countless Tidewater schools.
