Summary
With summer quickly closing and fall just around the corner the topics of a new season and new school year bring up a lot of other issues. One of my favorite among the things that fall brings is a new season for sport which comes with the new academic year. With sport and school comes rivalry.
Some of these rivalries are ancient. One of longest local rivalries is the sporting feud between the University of Kansas and the University of Missouri. When I look at this rivalry I am amazed not just at it's longevity but by its ferocious tenacity. For all of the name calling and athletic bickering and banter there is some real good that comes from this competition. As anyone who has ever seen a game will tell you that both teams play harder and with more spirit when it is against their rival.See the full content of this document
