The planned 10-screen movie theater and 500-car parking lot will actually be on Walnut Street, but the new construction will extend all the way to Sansom Street. So over [David Traub]'s protests, the "Sansom three" on the 1900 block will soon have a date with the wrecking ball.

"It's pretty much a done deal," says Don Davidow of the influential Rittenhouse Row Association. "Some of our members were upset. We went against it, but there was nothing we could do. This town has changed."

"I understand David's perspective," says Davidow. "But progress does happen, and I'd rather see something done in proper taste than letting things run down. Nothing gets better in this city because people just left it alone."
