Rgp Faces Transition to Private Agency
Lucas County voters passed a levy renewal for the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority in November with the promise that their money would be used by the Regional Growth Partnership (RGP) to expand job creation efforts in the area. Questions are now being raised whether these funds will be transferred away from the RGP and sent to the soon to be formed city/county economic development department in order to free up monies that will then be switched away from economic development work to help offset projected general fund budget deficits.
