Yuri Ivanovich OMELCHENKO was born on March 15,1931 in the village of Petrushki near Kiev. Graduated from Pushkinskoye Higher Military Radiotronics School named after Air Marshal V.A. Sudets (1953), Air Defense Military Command Academy named after Marshal of the Soviet Union G.K. Zhukov (1963). Served in the Moscow Air Defense Area, holding various command and staff posts. After completing the military postgraduate course and defending the thesis, (from 1971) he teaches and conducts research in the Air Defense Academy. Defended the doctoral dissertation concerning military-oriented information systems. At the present time, he is Professor of the Military Aerospace Academy. He is the top specialist in Air Force War Intelligence organization, in the forms and methods of reconnaissance-and-information activities. ...
