Summary


A legal disciplinary hearing panel has called for four Kansas City lawyers to be publicly reprimanded after loaning money to a municipal judge.

Deborah Neal used to be a Kansas City Municipal Court judge. Neal was sentenced in 2005 to 28 months in prison for accepting loans from lawyers and not disclosing them. The same year, she filed for bankruptcy. She resigned as a judge in November 2004 and was officially disbarred in March 2006.
