Summary
If it hadn't been for Duck we wouldn't have discovered Great Bridge. Not the duck that waddles and quacks. Duck of the Outer Banks, once less than a pinpoint on the Carolina map, now a trendy, touristy town with quaintly named shops and a website.
But in the 1960s, it consisted of a few weathered houses, a small wooden church and - no fooling - a bombing range. It also had a cabin purchased by a couple of our Norfolk neighbors and put up as a rental at $65 a week.See the full content of this document
