The fiftieth-anniversary observances of the defeat of the maniacal Nazi machine in Germany are nearly over. On June 6, 1994, the anniversary of D-Day - the beginning of the end of Nazi tyranny in Europe - was observed with reverence, solemnity, and respect for the men and women who lost their lives fighting that evil.
