Both of Barr's children have been members of sports teams at Champlain Valley Union High School, and - as every soccer or hockey mom knows - scholastic squads are constantly in need of donations for uniforms and equipment. School fund raisers account for over half of Red Barn's sales, but Barr will work with any organization that wants to sell Vermont products as a way of covering costs for, say, a special project or simply to help balance an operating budget.
