A man named John Dewey once said, you learn by doing. This adage is still as valid today as it was when he first opened his mouth. The problem is, if children read and read well, no one would make any money. Think about the reading programs costing the tax payers millions of dollars, and employing thousands of people who would be unemployed if children learned to read. Sounds funny, well it is funny.
People have not figured out that there is no short cut to learning. In this epoch of time, we have instant weight loss. Instant potatoes, earn a four year college degree in two weekends; learn to cook in two lessons. Everything has to be quick. Interestingly, things are not learned in an instant. Things take time.Watch children. They are in such a hurry to get to the TV set; they cannot do chores or complete the simplest tasks. They do not want to miss their favorite show.
