Motorola CoveragePlus - Product announcement
Motorola's CoveragePlus offers nationwide vehicle tracking and two-way voice and data communication. Drivers are constantly in touch with dispatchers through Motorola's existing network of Specialized Mobile Radio trunked systems. When the radio is turned on it automatically logs onto the nearest trunking radio system and notifies the dispatcher of the vehicle's location. The basic service provides two-way radio communications with eight preset status message buttons. A mobile data terminal with a 40-character 8-line display screen for detailed data communications and a Loran C receiver are optional. The in-vehicle hardware costs between $2,000 and $3,700. There are monthly fees and additional charges.See the full content of this document
