What I am running for is the people's seat. It does not belong to Eggelletion or anyone else; it belongs to the people and the people are going to make their decision when they vote me in as their next county commissioner." Billineslev said.

As he prepares for his 2008 campaign, Eggelletion faces financial and ethical issues. In 2005, Eggelletion paid a $2,500 fine to the Florida Ethics Commission for voting to award a trash-hauling contract to one of his lobbying clients. Eggelletion also faced a paternity suit brought by a former Dillard High School student who claimed that the affair she had with him, as his pupil, resulted in Eggelletion's fathering a child by her.

As to Eggelletion's character, Bulingsley agreed with Jackson. "Being ethical and being responsible to your community-these are the things you must have as a public official representing the majority of the people, because they look up to you. And when you look at the things that have occurred in this commissioner's background, even as close as the first year, we see a pattern of inappropriate behavior," said Billingsley.
