Summary


The Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008 (HERA) has allocated about $43 million in NSP funds to Mississippi to help people buy foreclosed and abandoned homes to help stabilize neighborhoods impacted by the home foreclosure crisis. According to the Mississippi Development Authority (MDA), this program targets low, moderate and middle-income homebuyers and offers tangible assistance to help communities rebound from escalating foreclosures.
