The woman who founded the first Junior Mental Health Association group in Indiana was recognized Thursday as a tireless national advocate for people suffering mental illness and one of the first supporters of the concept of community mental health centers.
Luise Whiting Fryer died in July at age 89, but her legacy as a mental health pioneer was commemorated with a plaque presented during a ceremony at the Evansville State Hospital.See the full content of this document
