Field Museum Postpones Program Comparing Cambodian Genocide, Palestinian Refugees

"In this case, we let go copy that was very ambiguous," [Rosa Cabrera] told the Jewish Star this week. "We were surprised at the reaction" from the Jewish community, she added, "but now I can see why it pushed some buttons."

"Broken Lands, Broken Bodies, Unyielding Spirit -- Cambodian and Palestinian Perspectives," is part of the "Cultural Connections" series, a seven-year-old program coordinated by the Field Museum's CCUC.

"We want to provide an arena for dialogue" among Chicago's diverse communities, she said. The programs "are supposed to bring people together, not divide them."
