Portrait of a Legend

More than a year before he was expelled from the 2006 World Cup final for head-butting an opponent, Zinédine Zidane was red-carded at a less prominent game, when he was playing for Real Madrid. Given Zidane's mercurial nature on the field, such penalties were not uncommon, but this particular incident marked a first: 17 of the cameras trained on him were manned by an international team of skilled operators under the supervision of Darius Khondji, ASC, AFC.
