'Poland Is Not yet Lost!'

Summary

RENEWAL OF A DIFFERENT SORT Upbeat restaurant news continues in Marin, praise be. The Lodge at Tiburon has rethought its original Three Degrees restaurant, changing it to Tiburon Grill. With a larger lounge-style dining room (including a community table that seats 10), the site now boasts a fireplace in the center. Chef de cuisine Fred Lam has also redesigned the menu, offering more casual fare, with items priced in the $14 to $18 range. There will be a happy hour daily (4 to 7pm) and All Day Happy Hour on Sunday (11am- 10pm) with special drink prices and a number of $4 bar food choices... Restaurateur Pal Sroa has expanded his holdings to include the popular Golden Egg Omelet House in downtown Novato. The owner of Lotus Cuisine of India in San Rafael and Lotus Café in Fairfax has renamed the establishment Golden Egg/Bar & Grill, with plans to expand the dinner menu. Chef Jose Martinez will keep old favorite items (breakfast and lunch specialties) on his carte. Sroa's next venture-Anokha Indian Restaurant-is scheduled to open by the end of this month... Definitely a feel-good place, Blue Skies Café just opened its doors. Counter orders are taken for breakfast and lunch items prepared by Jessie and Laurent Boucher of Jessie & Laurent Catering, Marin pioneers in private chef services. Most of the foods are made with organic ingredients and the menu features drinks made from San Rafael's Equator Estate coffees.
