I'm noticing a new paradigm in rock 'n' roll lately. Embodied by Sid and Nancy, nihilistic self-destructive tendencies used to be an integral part of the whole punk aesthetic. But things have changed. Bands are still loading up the van and hittin' the road in search of rock 'n' roll glory. They're just a little more responsible now.

Parks: Hum, let's see. I don't think I've done enough of these to have a most hated. Oh, wait, I know. How about "Are your tits real?" That doesn't go over real well. Just 'cause, you know, they're obvious. There's a quite a lot more goin' on than just wondering about my tits.

Thanks...So, y'know, we try to keep it healthy--we're all sober, except for our drummer--but we'll drive 50 miles out of the way for good barbecue or whatever. We've got a great crew, we're writing great songs, and the time just flies. It's rock 'n' roll. It's the greatest job in the world.
