Summary
From Blackie's Pasture, follow the path for a scant ½ mile. After the path leaves the bay and climbs uphill, you'll come to a play structure with wooden table and chairs on the right--behind it, a children's playground--and on the left, a water fountain. Turn left, and follow the little paved path uphill, back in the direction you've come from, until you meet the Tiburon Blvd. sidewalk. Turn right and continue walking until Avenida Miraflores. Turn left here; cross Tiburon Blvd. (1), then commence the just over half-a-mile climb up the length of Avenida Miraflores until its end at a barrier gate atop Tiburon Ridge. Walk through the gate and follow the narrow path up. Do not turn at the first trail intersection, but continue straight ahead to the fence, where you turn right onto the Tiburon Ridge Trail (2).
Continue through Old St. Hilary's Open Space District, until you reach a property fence. Turn right, downhill here (4), and proceed to follow the trail as it wends its way down the ridge until you reach Old St. Hilary's Church. Old St. Hilary's was founded in 1888 as a Catholic Mission church for the railroad families that once populated Tiburon. You may want to take the time to explore the paths of the gardens, home to many rare plants and flowers.See the full content of this document
