Summary
To realize this vision, Out2Play seeks funding primarily from philanthropic donations and corporate sponsorship. As funds are raised, Out2Play works in partnership with the Fund for Public Schools to select schools and work with students, school administrators and community based organizations to design playgrounds that best fit the different communities' needs. Once the plan is finalized and approved by the school system, Out2Play then manages construction of the project, bidding and awarding projects only to contractors who are unqualified with the New York City School Construction Authority. When construction is complete the school community and Out2Play volunteers join together to put me finishing touches on the project by painting murals, creating pavement art and planting throughout the site.
