Summary
Jonny Flynn: The heralded point guard from Niagara Falls spent the summer playing with [Donte Greene] in USA Basketball's under-19 team. They won the silver medal but more importantly, they got to learn each other's moves. Flynn also was a high school teammate of sophomore rebounder Paul Harris. He averaged almost 27 points per game and was named New York's Mr. Basketball in 2007. His flashy style of play will make Flynn a fan favorite as well as an important key to the scoring of this squad.
Kristof Ongenaet: (Say that three times fast.) The pencil-thin forward from Belgium is the typical European player. But as a junior college transfer from Cuesta (Calif.) Community College, he already knows the American style of play. He can shoot from the inside or outside, he can pass and he can bang down low. Ongenaet has a scorer's mentality in a very tall frame. The flying Flynn: Newcomer Jonny Flynn made quite an impression in his debut regular-season game, scoring 28 points Nov. 12 for Syracuse University against Siena College, the most by a freshman since [Carmelo Anthony]'s 27 in 2002.See the full content of this document
