Severe thunderstorms knocked out power Thursday night to more than 2,500 Vectren customers, most of them on Evansville's East Side.
Wind gusts of up to 50 mph snapped several trees and damaged utility poles, disrupting service. Some of the limbs landed on homes, but no significant damage was reported.
