This week's senseless murder of 14 year-old Markese Wiggan's who was shot for what appears to be nothing more than somebody else's misguided anger ought to be a wake up call. I mean, these are kids - and we've got a whole bunch of people acting like uncivilized animals amongst us - and it needs to be dealt with.

Interesting, politicos are staying away from teen violence like it's a plague. They don't wanna' address it - at least in any meaningful way, so it really falls to somebody to call for drastic measures to address a disease that's only inflicting damage and death upon black folks.

Moreover I believe, to turn this problem around, we must impose serious and stringent standards of behavior and dress in our public school system. Somebody's got to be the parent - these kids need discipline, a uniform dress code, proper speaking skills and standards. One young lady told me its become standard for girls to refer to each other as 'bit...h' and guys to refer to each other as 'my nigga.'
