Herberlia Gold, 87, formerly of Evansville, died Thursday, April 5, 2007, at Dekalb Medical Center in Lithonia, Ga.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Elliott Mortuary in Madisonville, Ky.Ernest H. Koch Jr.Ernest H. Koch Jr., 88, of Santa Claus, Ind., formerly of Newburgh, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2007, at his residence.He was born Sept. 1, 1918, in Newburgh, to Ernest H. Koch Sr. and Belle (Griffith) Koch. He was a World War II Navy veteran.Mr. Koch was the owner and operator of Koch's Key Market in Newburgh, for a number of years in the 60s and 70s. He was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Lamar, Ind.He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing golf and especially enjoyed being with his family and friends.His survivors include his wife, Pherne I. (Hosmon) Koch; one son and daughter-in-law, Ernest and Mary Kathleen "Sissy" Koch III of Santa Claus; one granddaughter and her spouse, Mary Kathleen "Katie" and Edward Hauser; and numerous nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at Titzer Family Funeral Homes 1/8 Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St., Newburgh, (812) 853-8314.
