Paul L. Baumgart, 85, of Evansville, died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006, at his home.
He was a member of St. Joseph Cath-olic Church in the city and the St. Joseph Church Men's Club.He was also a member of the Eagles Country Club and the Indiana SouthwestChapter of Public Accountants.Paul was a local musician in the 1940s, 50s and 60s and had played with the Art Engels Band.He was a public accountant.He worked for International Harvester Company and retired from Leo Buttrum CPA.Paul is survived by his wife of 58 years, Evelyn C. (Humpert) Baumgart, of Evansville, Ind.; daughters, Jill M. Collier and husband, Richard, of Newburgh, Ind. and Rebecca A. Schnur and husband, Tony, of Newburgh, Ind.; five grandchildren, Heather Fender and husband, Matt, Brian Key and wife, Emily, Sarah Key, Lauren Key and David Key; and great-grandchildren, Ashleigh and Andrew Fender.A prayer service will be at 8:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 11, 2006, at Alexander East Chapel, with a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in the city, officiated by Father William Traylor, with burial at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit today from 1 to 7 p.m. at Alexander East Chapel, with a memorial service at 5 p.m.Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice, 610 E.
